Expectation Management & Self-Awareness

Every golfer starts a round with an idea of how the day might go. Sometimes one good warm-up or one flushed iron is enough to convince you that today is going to be different.

You start making decisions based on the best version of your game rather than the one you are actually playing. A good spell pushes expectations higher, while a poor one feels more disappointing than it should.

Expectation Management & Self-Awareness looks at how closely those expectations match your actual golf, where confidence starts to become wishful thinking and how that begins to affect your decisions.

What This Assessment Looks At

This assessment looks at how your expectations shape the way you play, including:

• How realistic your expectations are before and during a round
• Whether club and shot choices reflect your normal game or your best-case outcome
• How strongly recent good or bad shots influence what you expect next
• Whether confidence helps you commit or pushes you into unrealistic decisions
• How you respond when the round does not match what you expected

What This Assessment Gives You

• Your current position across the five Golf Clarity levels
• A breakdown of how expectations are influencing your decisions and scoring
• The situations where your expectations are most likely to get ahead of the evidence
• A clearer view of where confidence becomes unrealistic
• Practical recommendations, drills and an improvement pathway based on your result
